Old Songs 2008

I am looking forward to one of the most enjoyable things I do all year. My family makes the six hour trip to the old songs festival in Altamont NY. It is a time for me to hear music of the kind that I might want to learn and play, a place where my kids can run around and I don't have to worry about where or what they are doing and most of all it is a chance for me to play music with others who love the ballad and the loved and lost songs the way that I do. There are 2 open sings in the barn there, yeah it is late and I'm tired but I go anyway I get to sing one or 2 myself and join in with the other on the chorus for the songs I'm not leading. I hope that all of you are having a good start to your summer, I know that Ill start mine the way I always do in a tent on a field and playing my guitar. Ill make you all a deal you have a beer for me sometime this weekend and Ill try to sing one for you.
